R. J. Aerial Photo was started over 30 years ago because of
my love for flying and photography. All the time I was flying,
I kept seeing the beauty of California and decided I needed to
capture what I could on film. I don't go out with the intention
of photographing anything specific. I go flying and photograph
whatever happens to be there. I have many clients including most
of the fast food companies (Taco Bell, Carl's Jr., Pizza Hut,
Boston Market etc.) and many real estate companies (Grubb &
Ellis, CB Commercial, Cushman, Cornish & Carey, etc.). Photographing
sites for them takes me all around California and Nevada. I started
with a canon 35mm camera and now use both medium and digital format
cameras to get the higher quality for the large pictures. My
favorite camera is a medium format Pentax but I use my Canon 10.1 megapixel
camera the most.
One of my favorite flights, which I do at least once a month
is over the Golden Gate bridge and San Francisco down to Half
Moon bay for clam chowder at Barbara's Fish Trap restaurant.
